Grand
Rounds is a continuing medical education opportunity offered to Newport
Hospital physicians, all Newport Hospital staff and allied health care
providers. Programs are held from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Community
Conference Room and are free and open to the public.
The programs are bi-weekly presentations that cover a broad range of topics. These topics are determined by an annual needs assessment, performance evaluation and improvement committee recommendations, and medical staff recommendations.
Grand Rounds programs are intended to inform the medical staff of pertinent and new developments in the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of patient care, review medical sciences, provide programs to correct identified deficiencies, provide programs identified as being of need or interest, and to provide programs related to medical conditions medical staff members are treating in the hospital or in their office practices.
