Newport Hospital Rehab Center Achieves Three-Year Accreditation

Newport Hospital’s Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center again earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, known as CARF. The programs that were examined by CARF in the two-day site visit are inpatient hospital rehab programs and stroke specialty programs.

Heartsaver CPR and First Aid

This two day, 8-hour course, designed in accordance with the American Heart Association and the National Safety Council, provides non-clinical participants with the skills to administer first aid for acute injuries and sudden illness as well as resuscitation techniques.

For Patients

Regular visiting hours

  • 2-8 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.

Depending on a patient's health status, visiting hours may be restricted or limited. Visitors should call the hospital's patient information line at 401-845-1640 to confirm visiting hours for patients who are critically ill.

Birthing Center visiting hours

Birthing partners may visit anytime. We must limit visiting children to siblings of the newborn only. All other visitors are welcome from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Based on the desires of the mother, and for her safety and comfort, visiting hours will be followed consistently.
