Carnegie Abbey Library

Newport Hospital invites you to use the Carnegie Abbey Library Resource Center. Our goal is to provide information that will help the people in our community make informed health care decisions and live healthier lives.

Our Services

A library staff member is available to help you locate the information you want. Below is a list of some of our offerings.

  • Up-to-date consumer health books, magazines and newsletters, from easy-to-read texts to scientific and professional publications

  • Electronic information, such as CD-ROM and medical databases
  • Internet access to health and medical Web sites
  • Health-related video and audio tapes
  • Information files, which include pamphlets, newspaper and magazine articles, and other materials on specific health topics
  • Support groups, classes and presentations on a variety of health topic

Hours and Location

The Carnegie Abbey Library Resource Center is located just off Newport Hospital's main lobby. It is open and staffed at the following times:

  • Monday through Thursday
    8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday
    8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Library hours may vary during the summer and vacation periods. The library is open to hospital staff at all times.
